A Vision for Academic and Holistic Development

Josefina “Lola Pining” Aranguren Agoncillo leads South Lakes Integrated School with a vision of creating a well-rounded educational experience where academic excellence, practical learning, and community engagement go hand in hand. Under Lola Pining’s leadership, the school has implemented innovative programs that empower students to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

A strong advocate for academic and extracurricular excellence, Lola Pining established successful academic and sports scholarship programs, offering opportunities to high- performing students and athletes to pursue their dreams. Through Challenge-Based Learning (CBL), students are encouraged to solve real-world problems by applying their knowledge in meaningful ways. This approach promotes creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, preparing students for success beyond school.

Integrating Sustainability and Agriculture

Recognizing the importance of sustainability, Lola Pining introduced agriculture and environmental awareness into the school’s curriculum. Through hands-on projects such as student-managed gardens, composting activities, and farm-to-table initiatives, students develop practical skills while understanding the importance of sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.

Collaboration and Community Engagement

Collaboration is central to Lola Pining’s vision. Through partnerships with local farmers, community organizations, and industry experts, students gain valuable exposure to real- world challenges. With the support of teachers, non-teaching staff, and parents, the school fosters an inclusive environment where every student is given the tools to succeed.
